2023 EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS

We are proud to announce that on September 20^th, 2023 Potomac Construction won an Excellence in Construction award for the Japanese food-hall Love, Makoto. This is a beautiful one-of-a-kind space envisioned by Chef Makoto Okuwa and designed by Ménard Dworkind and HapstakDemetriou.

Love, Makoto, located in Capitol Crossing in Northwest Washington, DC, serves as Chef Makoto’s “love letter” to Japan. The Japanese food hall features a mix of two sit-down restaurants, quick-grab food options, a bakery, and a high-end bar. The space spans two floors with 5 different dining concepts and 4 kitchens.

The Excellence in Construction Awards recognizes and celebrates outstanding projects built by Washington-area ABC members annually.
