Our Work

Portfolio

The Darcy Hotel, located in Washington, DC’s Logan Circle neighborhood, was originally built in 2017 as part of Hiltons upscale Curio Collection. Since being sold in late 2018, The Darcy has proceeded as an independent brand, and in 2021, decided to expand its event space & courtyard pavilion. When Potomac Construction began our work, the hotel was fully functional, despite ongoing work in the public spaces. This project was unique to Potomac Construction, as it was one of only a few ground-up projects that we had worked on.

The announcement of the renovation coincided with International Women’s Month, and The Darcy named the whole expansion after the late Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. This project included the ground-up construction and interior fit-out of a 1,700 sf meeting room on top of the existing open courtyard plaza. The Construction team demolished most of the pre-existing space, and added structural steel supports in the parking lot underneath, allowing them to create a metal frame that would serve as the bones for the event space.
